Get involved in the conversations about our plans for a new community hub

We'd like to invite residents and community leaders to help shape the facilities and services within the new community hub at Fleetwood hospital.

The Fleetwood Trust purchased the building in late 2018 and we've begun a programme of consultation, fundraising and redevelopment to create a collection of vibrant and sustainable meeting spaces for community use. Work on The Pantry, a new base for Fleetwood Foodbank and the Mustard Seed, is already underway ahead of opening later this year.

Local GP Mark Spencer is one of our Trustees, he says, “We want to hear from anyone with ideas for using the hub to support residents’ health & wellbeing, share life-skills and training, or to deliver valuable services.

This is a unique opportunity because of the size of the building and its facilities like the large kitchen but it’s important we identify what the community really wants and needs, and we don’t duplicate what’s already in place.”

Dr Spencer adds, "We’ll be holding our first meeting later in March to continue the conversations about what might be included in the hub and welcome anyone already active in the community or with new ideas to be involved.”
